The administration/faculty, etc. does nothing to address school bullying. With all the media about bullying in our schools, you would think they would take this more seriously and be more interested in curtailing this behavior in the school. I believe the District needs to investigate and act accordingly. So sad, we have to tolerate this type of aggression in our schools.

HAYDEN PEAK IS AWESOME!!!! The school is great, MOST of the teachers are great, the education is okay they just need to take time with each of there students and see what they need extra help on.

We love Hayden Peak! The teachers really care about their students and are very communicative. I can e-mail my son's teacher anytime and I know she will get back to me ASAP- usually within hours. I appreciate the time the teacher has taken to get to know my son and his strengths and weaknesses. Great school!

Hayden Peak is an outstanding school. The teachers are committed to helping each child learn and academic growth is closely monitored. Students reading below grade level are given additional assistance through the SOAR program. The math club provides after school math-related activities. Reflections, orchestra and Harmony help to develop interest in the fine arts. Great parent involvement; a very active PTA.

I am both a parent of a student attending Hayden Peak, and a teacher as well. Teacher devotion and parent involvement make Hayden Peak an absolutely excellent school.

I loved the Respect, Responsibility, and Safety videos... I wish they would post them on the Hayden Peak website. There are many great teachers there :)

I am extremely disappointed in the education my children have received at this school. I have been told by teachers at this school they simply do not have enough time to give a struggling student. So i have had one of my children complain that they just sit most of the day doing nothing. I feel children slip through the cracks at this school. Another one of my children who excels at academics, was assigned books in sixth grade curriculum that she had already read in the third grade curriculum in a previous school. i would not recommend sending your child to Hayden Peak Elementary.

I am a substitute teacher in the Jordan School District and see a lot of schools. The pros for this school is it is newer, with up to date facilities and technology. The teachers are mostly very organized and nice. The leadership and office help seems to be decent. The playground was recently updated and the school has a new security system. Parent involvment is huge. Minority levels are lower leading to more higher test scores (sorry, but it is true). The students could probably have a better science and math program. I am very please with this school and love to teach there.

I agree with the Feb. 22 review...This school is very unchallenging and unmotivating if you have a child that is bright and/or accelerrated. It is a very basic public education. The school has very nice teachers and many to choose from. The biggest problem I see at this school is that the student body is TOO BIG!!! 1,100+ students! This can make a huge difference in your childs learning capabilities. On a positive note, it is now a locked school.

I have found that this school caters to the lowet common denominator. If your child struggles with school, there are a ton of resources to help your child. However, if your child is bright, this school is very unchallenging and unmotivating.

I dont feel security for my child is taken serious. At any point in time I am able to walk through the school without any question. In addition, care to grounds is lackluster. Snow is not removed from parkinglot let alone entrance ways. Some teachers approach are questionable. The overall teacher population should not be judged for some that appear to care less than others. Overall the quality of education is acceptible.

I am really impressed with this school. The teacher that my son has is very loving and patient with the kids. She talks to them in a loving calm voice. The parent involvement is wonderful. Security is excelent. I feel like my child is well taken care of because someone is always there watching the children from the time they get there until the time I come to pick him up. I feel like the school is safe, well organized and well run and I am pleased with the experience I have had with the school as well as my childs teacher.
