My son attends Green St. School he is almost done with Kindergarten now he has grown so much in all his skills and I believe this is due to the quality of his teacher. She does amazing teaching them.

This school is wonderful and has excellent teachers that excel in helping your children do the same, but also doing it in fun and exciting ways for kids instead of pushing them too hard. They have a great community garden, healthy lunch and snack programs, winter sports program, and every Thursday sing a long where parents can come in and sing with their kids. Children here are encouraged ot learn without feeling pressure so they can enjoy being a kid!

Green Street School has many positive aspects. However, the overall culture appears to be stagnant in that there have been no real 21st century initiatives that have increased academic performance, addressed the diversity of the school or accounted for increased and modern technology.

I haven't met all the teachers but I think Joanne Barber and Sue Snow are incredible dedicated teachers who love the children and put them first in all things.

Excellent teachers (w/ only 1 or 2 exceptions) with innovative ideas. Great music and art programs, as well as lots of other activities (plays, variety show, spelling and geography bees, etc.) A very safe, very nurturing, very stimulating environment. No sports. Parental involvement welcomed in the classroom, on field trips, in musical activities. We were very happy that our 2 children got to experience this wonderful public school.
