This school is very concerned about behavior and how to control that behavior....it has made it impossible for the kids to get a good education....they don't seem to have the kids well-rounded interests at heart. The only good thing I can say is that most of the teachers have a real love for what they do but the system they have to work within is majorly flawed and the students all suffer!

A school that has a high percentage of needy children and families. This school is committed to those families but unfortunately if you are not in this population, your child/children miss out. There are very few, if any, opportunities for enrichment and unless you are significantly delayed, enough to warrant an IEP, you may also miss out on Title I services. There is a cap on the number of children that can be served. There is a great tolerance and general acceptance of bad and unsafe behavior and a belief that discipline should not be punitive. Sadly, this school is drowning and it is the children that suffer the greatest consequences.

Great community support for the school and kids. Very caring teachers and staff. The scores were abysmal, but great opportunities for learning and enrichments. Great service and support staff for children with special needs.
