I attended this school for 1 year, I am now in highschool taking all honors and AP classes with a goal to attend an ivy-league college. Riverside brought me closer to my goal.
We love The Riverside School and so do our boys, ages 10 and 9. They like everything about it: the challenging and flexible academic program, the great teachers, the diverse extra-curricular offerings, the fantastic music program and the camaraderie and caring of the students. It's truly a great fit for them and keeps getting better all the time. Thanks, Riverside!
Academic programs are excellent especially math and Latin. Parents are greatly involved and welcomed. Less than 10/1 student to teacher ratio. Diverse extracurricular activites.
I feel extremely fortunate to have attended the Riverside School. Riverside went above and beyond preparing me for Accelerated and AP courses at SJ Academy and gave me a powerful insight into the diverse world that we live in. Riverside offers a wide variety of programs with challenging teachers that care for their students. The music, geography, english, math, physical education, and community programs are particulary strong.
The Riverside School is an extraordinary school. The academic programs are exceptional, and the faculty outstanding. There are an amazing array of musical, artistic and athletic opportunities open to the 46 students at the school. Imagine, a full school choir, 2 bands, a string ensemble, soccer teams, swimming lessons, skating, and skiing!! The level of parent involvement is particularly high because of the nature of the school leadership. Kay Johnson is a gifted scholar, a detail oriented administrator, and holds both students and parents to very high standards. We are extremely pleased with the depth and breadth of the education our son and daughter (5th and 7th grade) are receiving.
