I was completly horrified with the lack of care, safety, education, concern, and responsibility from this school. My children lasted there less than 3 months. We had enough. I don't say I do not recommend anyone to go there because not all the teachers are neglectful in that school. But I will NEVER let my children go back there, I rather work two extra jobs and put them through private school, before they end up back in that school.
This school is a joke! My son attends this school and we are unhappy with it. The standards are low and even so, few students achieve them. It is sad how much bullying and violence goes on during the school day. If you are planning to send your son/daughter to this school, I strongly warn you that this is not an ideal school to go to.
I am extremely disappointed with this school. My daughter attends this school and it is difficult to get her to want to go. Bullying is a growing problem and many of the teachers don't take notice to it. Furthermore, my daughter is a very intelligent girl, but is put in classes with many below average students that held her back. There is no good gifted program at this school.
I have two sons who have attended this school. While both are bright enthusiastic learners, they have not been challenged. Report card grades seem inflated when compared to Necap scores, and class instruction has minimal standards. As a parent I am concerned that the focus has turned from learning to merely maintaining. I have seen both boys experience drops in necap scores as they progress in grade.
My daughter has attended MES for 3 years. I feel this school is great! Every effort is made to involve parent's in their child's education. The classes are not too big and each child gets the help they need. I know that she is safe while at school.
