North Bennington Graded School is an extremely unique and amazing school. I have been involved with schools in four different states and have never experienced such talented, dedicated and caring teachers and school staff as at NBGS. I have two children-one gifted-one special needs and both children have had their special, individual needs addressed. Staff goes way out of their way for each child. I often see teachers working long hours and go way beyond what is required of them. NBGS consistently scores high on standardized testing, high on state math and reading assessments and Business Week has named North Bennington the best place to raise children in Vermont for 2012 and in 2010 in large part due to the North Bennington Graded School. We moved to here solely for this great school but found a wonderful community as well.

North Bennington School does not teach the children. Lets pass them and when they get into high school they will be put in a special program and then drop out. The teachers do not care about the kids and do not work with the parents to help improve the child. I moved my children to Arlington and they both are doing very well. Alot of teacher support and parent support to help the children learn. North Bennington needs new teachers and a new set of teaching policies.

The teachers are dedicated, the classes are small, the children walk to school, and I retired from being the SLP there for 13 years.

North Bennington Graded School has a great music program, wonderful after school program. Each teacher envolves themselves with each child on a individual basis. Ms. Kitchell is a very involved pincipal, that the kids enjoy. My children excelled at North Bennington Graded School far beyond my expectations. A definite asset to the Bennington area.
