A fabulous school. I am proud to have my children attend because of the faculty's attention to character development and the emphasis placed on civic responsibility. My daughter, a recent graduate, has maintained high honors in accelerated classes at St. Johnsbury Academy thanks to the great preparation she received at Thaddeus Stevens School.

After visiting 5 other schools in the North East Kingdom, I felt as though Stevens School provided the thorough education that all schools need to provide. My child looks forward to school during vacations.

Students are encouraged to have individual voice and independent thought using a variety of mediums. Intellectual and social growth are developed through the study and integration of art, written word, small and large group discussion. This process provides a platform for self expression guided by a highly motivated and intellectually challenging faculty. Students are held accountable and hold themselves accountable for their actions in both words and deeds. Establishing an understanding of self is important but the Stevens School also strives toward a goal of self and how our actions impact our community as a whole. Maria Dufresne

We absolutely love this school. The academics are superior to any other school in the Northeast Kingdom. The Stevens School is tip-top.

Interesting review by Wendy Morgan - she owns the school so I can't imagine she would say anything derogatory about it. Typical Stevens School reterick.

Our four children have received a terrific education at the Stevens School -- they learned solid skills, appropriate behavior, a strong sense of our history, and, most importantly, to think for themselves. I love the depth of the discussions the students have on a wide variety of topics. I also greatly appreciate the help the director and faculty have given us as we've worked through difficult adolescent issues. Although the school is small (18 students), our kids have had no difficulty transitioning to a high school of nearly a 1000 -- the reason, I think, is that they felt confident about their abilities and the value of everyone's opinions. I feel proud to be a parent and member of the Board of Trustees. I am even prouder of what our kids have become in part as a result of the time they spent at the Stevens School.
