My child has been at VCS for two years and we are very pleased with the decision to send her there. Small classes, great teachers, interesting field trips and they take the students on three Encounter Weeks each year to wonderful locations. My daughter is challenged, loves school and appreciates that her teachers really care about her work.
I value the leadership as forward thinking and the teachers are dedicated to each and every child at VCS. My son LOVES school and it is because of his teachers -- they create lessons that challenge and encourage him as a student!
As a member of the administration at Vermont Commons, and as one who worked in higher education for 20 years, prior to joining VCS, I feel fortunate to work in a community that is filled with such motivated and academically talented students. Combined with our dedicated teachers and small classes (average size of 12) and a rigorous curriculum, VCS is a great place for students who enjoy learning amidst other who enjoy challenge in the classroom.
