I go to Bishop Ireton and i highly suggest not sending your children there. The teachers and staff are unprofessional and rude, while the school is just down right unhealthy. There are rats and bugs throughout the school and the food is highly overpriced. Save yourself and a transfer and do not go to this school.

Bishop Ireton is one of the best private school;s in the area. The quality of the teachers, the extracurricular activities are unmatched. In addition tuition is so much less than inferior private schools. It is the best deal in town!

Fantastic school! We turned down TJ and have never looked back! BI has the toughest grading scale in the Washington area and truly challenges students in all areas of academics, service and character. My two children have made friends for life. It is a warm and welcoming community. Students are accepted at all top notch and Ivy league colleges.

As our first child completed her first year at a competitive university she thanked us for sending her to BI. She was well prepared and completed her first year with all A's due to the competitive classes at BI. She was more prepared than many of her peers from our local public school. Our 2nd child, an athlete has found a great balance between courses and sports.

I believe that this school was not nearly as good as people think. It was very easy to get through and rarely challenged me or other students. I think the school just gets by with its name and not its teachers.

We are on our 3rd (out of 4) child attending Bishop Ireton and we cannot express how much the Salesian tradition has enhanced their high school experience. The academic and sports environment is excellent, and our two graduates have settled nicely into their chosen colleges. They find some college classes easier than the ones they took as preparatory at BI. The facility is constantly being upgraded and parental consensus is solicited in most changes. There are a few 'clunkers' on the faculty, but largely they are inspirational educators. An 800 student high school provides such a wonderful environment compared to our 'neighborhood' 3000 student behemoth. We are so glad we chose BI.

My graduates worked hard academically, played athletics against the best competition, and found challenges of college less stressful than than their peers. Strong spiritual component, commitment to students and school evidenced by the constant improvements to facilities, curriculum, and faculty.

Great school! The teachers, staff, and coaches are fantastic. The preparation for college is first rate. The students are outstanding, very inclusive, and have outstanding spirit.
