A great education! The teachers and administration go out of their way to assist childrten who have challenges. The curriculum is tough, but when my child goes on to high school, I know he will be well prepared. The school offers tons of after school activities. The recent school musical, is one example, that was lead by several teachers who put in many after school hours. The performance was outstanding. Both parents and teachers helped sew all the costumes. The children are excited to be there. Occasional issues are dealt with appropriately by both staff and administration. The entire community is warm and welcoming! It has been a real pleasure to have had my child attend school there for 10 years! My family and I will miss BSS when we leave.

BSS is a wonderful community. The principal, teachers, assistant teachers, nurses, aides and volunteers all go out of their way to work together to care for the children at this school. The best part of the school is that it is small with a family atmosphere. The classes are challenging - even the Kindergarteners have French, Spanish and computer classes. The teachers are active and supportive and go out of their way to have fun activities like musical concerts, art and science exhibits, culture day, plays, field day, etc. BSS is a great Catholic school!

Unfortunately, this school has not lived up to expectations. The teachers seemed to be overwhelmed. When trying to reach out, many times they respond they do not have enough time to respond to parents. Not a single teacher leads an extra curricular activity! The only emphasis is on behavior and not just getting along with others. For example, there is an emphasis on walking on the right at all times. Students are reprimanded for reading ahead, even when reading silently. Laughing is discouraged at all times. The principle, when brought tries to play the role of arbiter, allowing the inmates (teachers) to run the asylum. Her main focus seems to be fundraising.

There is a lot of bullying going on in this school. Staff and principal pretend to care. Don't be fooled by the "Blue Ribbon" award advertisement. It's more about exaggerated quantity of work, than quality education. There are no good resources for the children, classrooms are overcrowded, extracurricular activities and after school program are bad. Do you really want to pay money for that headache?

We LOVE Blessed Sacrament. From the Principal down to the Teacher's Aides, everyone is so kind and caring. The teachers are very well qualified and create projects that the kids enjoy. All of the children from grades K-8 know each other and are so supportive of each other. I can't imagine my kids going anywhere. The fact that the school is a Blue Ribbon school is an additional bonus! I am so happy that my children are in a Christ Centered community surround by a loving and creative faculty!

Very displeased with this community. We decided to transfer to another Catholic School and it was the best decision we could have made for our children.

Outstanding! This is the kind of school where the principal will know each child's name and the superb staff can do the same. From the Early Childhood Education Center to the eighth grade, children learn to care for others, be responsible for themselves, and help out in the community. At the close of each day the school assembles for announcements and a prayer. That daily action does a lot to reinforce school goals and give kids great confidence to speak before others. Students here seem to love to learn and are encouraged to think for themselves in a safe, cheerful, respectful environment. Specialty classes are introduced in kindergarten. In first grade students select which foreign language to study for the next 8 years. This school is academically challenging but students tend to thrive and enjoy school! Lots of parent support here -working with dedicated teachers to prepare children for life!

We had a terrible experience at this school. Our son s teacher had no experience and recommended unnecessary therapy for him instead of asking for a professional examination before she made any kind of conclusion/decision. We requested a group of professionals to evaluate him individually and he got the best scores on all tests he had to perform. Today we are happy on our decision of taking him out of that place.

Both of my daughters go to this school. Every one is very friendly and so sweet. My daughters never complain about the other children being mean. The education is wonderful. My children are learning so much here and are really happy being at this school. For the 2008-2009 school year they won the blue ribbon for academic excellents. The teachers and staff are the sweetest people. There uniforms are classic navy plaid. K-5th grade wear jumpers and 6th-8th wear plaid skirts. There is basketball, track, and tennic.

It is the best school in the world! The staff and kids are SO friendly and nice! when we go out to play every day out side there are always parents watching to kids and looking after them. There is a really good education! All the teachers are really nice. The 5th and 7th grade teachers are the nicest and coolist of them all though! We also won the Blue ribbon for such good education. The price is also really good!

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
