This really is an amazing school. This was my first grader's first year at Cameron and our first time in the Fairfax County School district. It has been nothing but a pleasurable experience. The teachers, administration, and staff genuinely care about the students. They keep up updated on your child's progress via Blackboard, email, and phonecalls. There is an open door policy when you have a concern and that concern is always handled in the most positive and professional way possible. My son loves this school. It was his first experience with a public school and it could not be a better choice. I HIGHLY recommend this school for academics, character building, hands-on, interactive care and learning.

I highly recommend this school. The teachers are awesome as are the office staff. The Principle know every student by name and recognizes the parents, he may not know your name but he knows that you are so-and-so's parent.

This school is AWESOME!!! I used to attend this school back in 93. I now have kids myself, though I no longer live in the area I would recommend any parent to enroll their kids in the school.

The principal is amazing. It is a low income school and the teachers have worked so hard to raise the test scores. We did the best ever this year! The principal knows every parent name and every child's name. He will sooo be missed if he retires this year because he does sooo much for his kids at Cameron.

I would say all staffs and teachers are friendly, helpful and devoted. However, Belvedere is GT center which accepts above-average students from other areas. When the principal and staff set a high expectation for SOL result, they trigger the competing atmosphere already existed between students. It's probably some of the reasons why Belvedere gains great scores.

My daughter is currently a student at Cameron ES. As with anyone connected to Cameron knows the Principal, Mr. Towery is amazing in what opportuniies he gives the children of so many diverse backgrounds. He rises above the rest and expects his staff to join in and they never dissappoint. They always go above and beyond. The school motto is 'Cameron Elementary - Where Character Counts' They should change it to 'where character, compassion and commitment count'

I went to Cameron ES since I was in kindergarten. Now, I am a freshman at Edison HS. I'll have to say that Cameron was the best school in the whole county for many reasons. Cameron ES is really a great school for young/beginning students the principal, Mr. Towery and the teachers are excellent. Words can not describe Cameron ES because you have to experience it to understand. Overall, I just think that Cameron is a great school for young students.

Cameron is an extraordinary school! Beginning with Mr. Towery, the principal, and down the list to the cafeteria and building workers, each adult is committed to providing a safe, nurturing, educational and fun environment for every child enrolled. Every student is made to feel special and is encourged to display their uniqueness, whether they excel academically and/or artistically. My son began at Cameron kindergarten. His current 3.75 GPA in high school is due in-part to the wonderful beginning he received at Cameron!
