I am very upset with this school. I have a grandson that is disabled and they want him in normal classes and also he can not read and is suppose to be in 4th grade. He is in 3rd and has only a 1st grade reading level and only half way through it. I am upset that they pass him. It wont let me post unless i give it a star.
AES is a up to date modern school, with the 'small' town one on one attention that every parent / grandparent wants for their child. The entire faculty work very hard to give our childen the BEST education available. HATS OFF to the entire staff of AES !!!
Altavista Elementary School is a wonderful school. The faculty is great and they form a very caring environment for the students. The school works hard to keep parents informed and involved. My daughter started middle school this year and loves it, but I admit I miss the folks the AES!
I think that Altavista Elementary is one of the best schools in this area. Most of the teachers are great too.
