St. Michael School is a fantastic place for the education of young children. St. Michael provides the best teachers and the best atmosphere for learning that we have seen. My child is happy and comfortable learning there, and we are very happy with the value of his education and the consideration the faculty and staff have shown us.

St. Michael School is a fantastic place for the education of young children! The teachers are seasoned and energetic, the curriculum is steady and exciting, and the administration really makes the school into a community. We chose St. Michael's School after interviewing at no less than eight different area private schools, both Catholic and non-Catholic. This school had the best teachers and the best atmosphere for learning that we have seen. Our son is happy and comfortable learning there, and as parents we are very happy with the value of his education and the consideration the faculty and staff have shown us.

My children received a wondeful traditional Catholic Education at St. Michael's. The presence if the IHM Sisters adds to the excellent teaching staff. I highly recommend this school!

This school has really moved in the right direction. Unfortunately, they had to make a lot of cuts last year, but one could never tell. The school is so alive. There is so much spirit. Everyone is so happy! The work that is produced by the students is amazing. The faculty and staff are very child centered.

Very traditional school which works for average students. If your child is gifted, this is not a school I would recommend. There is no option to take geometry here so you can move on to upper level math classes right away in high school, as an example. If your child is gifted, look at other school options -- either the GT program in the public schools or private programs such as Flint Hill.

This is the best school you can go to. You can take algebra 2, so you may take geometry in high. Don't miss out!

This is a wonderful Catholic, conservative school that is teaching great morals and values that kids need more of these days.

St. Michael's is a pro-life and family-oriented school where discipline, order, and respect are part of the daily routine. A visit to the school reveals learning happening in every room. Faith is fully integrated into academics so that students emerge as competent, spiritual young people ready to take on the challenges of top area high schools. Weekly the students attend Mass. Each day, in addition to the basics, serious attention is paid to one of the specialties such as art, physical education, music and computer. And there are also extra-curricular opportunities in all of those areas. There has been a Spanish program in place for several years now. Students seem happy and motivated. Another plus is the volunteer program that facilitates the active participation of most families. There are even parents teaching and on the staff . St. Michael's is well worth the very reasonable cost. Check out our school!

St. Michael's is wonderful. It challenges and motivates your child and will give him/her an excellent grounding in all subject to be able to do well in high school. The only thing I wish it had was a cafeteria lunch menu; they do sell pizza and hamburgers but they are brought in from fast food restaurants. Otherwise, top marks for this school in what matters most: a great education.

St. Michael's School in Annandale is a wonderful school, very academically challenging. We believe ourselves fortunate that our children were accepted into this school. Parental involvement is very high in the school. Music, art, sports, and other extracurricular activities are available. only downside is because it is a private school there is no school bus transportation, a difficulty when both parents work, which we do. We have been extremely fortunate to have other parents bring our children home every day.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
