A lot of changes have made this a great school. Their class sizes are now restricted to 24 kids, max - some have less. There is a new Administrator who has done a GREAT job bringing the students, parents, and teachers together like never before. The computer lab was completely rebuilt, etc. I heard they are starting to deploy some smart boards this spring and next year, so I'm sold on sending my kids there next year. Best Christian school in the area, IMHO.

The class sizes are too big for a private school. In addition, the school took all the precautionary measures to meet the requirements to receive their ACSI accreditation. Now that they are fully accredited by the ACSI they have slighted the students with certain course material. For example, the Spanish class went from meeting twice a week when they were going through the accreditation process to once a week this past school year when the accreditation process was complete.

This was a great school when it was just Christian Fellowship. The academics are still good, but not all children are treated equally. The current principal and teachers need cultural awareness training and the class sizes are too big. Some of the classes actually have a higher student/teacher ratio than the public schools.

My daughter goes to this school. We have tried couple of other schools and we love CFFS. Teachers are wonderful and the director is amazing. I would definitely send our son too.

HIgh school academics are far behind what is being taught in public schools and other Christian schools. Pre school is wonderful.

We have been at CFFS for two years now. It has been a very good experience. The change of Principals this past year was a good thing. The academics are advanced and seem well ahead of the public schools. The teachers that we have had have been lovely Godly women. We are currently enrolled for the Fall. Like any school, being active is the key to understanding the environment and the culture.

This school is a high-stress environment for children, parents and teachers alike. Our children have only been at the school for one year, and we have been disappointed in the changes we see in our children's attitude towards school and in their own self-image. It is hard to put a finger on exactly what is wrong in the school, because I like and respect every individual teacher and administrator I know. There is something endemic in the system of the school that needs to be rooted out. My children have not been bullied, but there have been serious language and behavior issues from other children, etc. that should not even be present in a Christian School. I think academically it is fine, but the class size is big and the social environment is not always healthy.

My Elder daughter is going to CFFS for the last three years from pre school to Kindergarden. The school is excellent in taching bible and academics. The teachers are caring and good. My daughter does well in her subjects for a kindergarden

I was very disappointed with the quality of the summer camp program that my kids attended. The program seemed to lack some fundamentals such as adequate supervision and the administration seemed to be quite disorganized. I was working there at the same time and got an inside view of things. I would definitely not send my children here.

There is absolutely no response to bullies. Children are allowed to continue demonstrating distructive behavior towards other classmates as long as they have the right parent connections.

I have two children and CFFS and will continue to keep them at the school. The past few years we have seen great improvement with the school, parental involvement, community outreach, and staff training. Congratulations on your ACSI Accreditation and we welcome all of the Faith Families.

We have found CF & FS to be a strong Biblically based school in an environment where political correctness reigns supreme. The new principal is awesome, respectful and truly a man seeking to honor God at the school. CF& FS is the new name now that CFS consolidated with another Christian school. Everyone is professional and loves the Lord. The school is the only Christian school in this area accredited by ACSI. We love CF &FS!

Our child will not be attending CFS next year. The amount and severity of discipline problems at the middle/high school levels is astounding. The principal support is great, but inconsistencies exist between classroom rules and consequences. Conflict of philosophy of education between headmaster and staff and parents has encouraged strife and division.

At one point we had two kids at CFS. We pulled out our oldest after a few years because we thought that she would get a better education at the public school, and save money. We were wrong. While our public school system spends almost twice what CFS spends per student, she felt like she was on vacation for the entire year (it was a review of the material she had covered the prior year at CFS). It's been a few years now and the public school has become challenging but I also notice problems with the Nike_factor, and other peer related issues. We tried the same thing with our younger child except the difference in the public school was even more noticeable. It was a complete waste of one year. We immediately re-enrolled her in CFS the following year and intend to keep her there.

I have two children at CFS and we have had a wonderful experience there. The teachers have gone out of their way to help my kids excel, especially in areas where they struggle. I only have dealt with the preschool and elementary teachers, and hope to have my kids graduate from here!

Among the staff at CFS, there is a definite lack of the commitment needed to develop a solid and growing high school program.

I have three children in this school. They have spanned from preschool to middle school. Two of my children are excelling academically. One is struggling and has been given more personal help than I could ask for. My oldest came from public school in third grade and was behind when she entered CFS. She is now on A honor roll. THe teachers are wonderful and each year the school gets better.

We pulled our our oldest child and may be pulling our other children from CFS. We believe the discipline to be more of a punishment with children as young as 5 serving detention. The principal is rude and does not return phone calls once you have a disagreement with her. She rolls her eyes and shows great disrespect for parents and other staff, yet demands almost perfect behavior from the students. The role modeling of staff is poor for a Christian school.

We have not had a good experience with Christian Fellowship School. While there are some wonderful and caring teachers at the school, the administration does not seem to have a handle on the situation. The environment is very strict and yet there are more behavior problems than we were accustomed to seeing at our previous school. The workload is excessive and stressful, especially for the middle and high school students. While the rules are very strict, there are still numerous behavior problems. I cannot recommend this school.

Christian Fellowship has very good facilities, including an oustanding gymnasium. The sports programs seem to be good and have good coaches. Special cudos to the girls basketball coach. They have just changed administration. Under the previous administration, there was a fair bit of disorganization. We are hoping for an improvement, but only time will tell. We are hoping that this improvement will include the development of a solid high school program for our children as well. Last year the math program for the junior high was weak. They have put some things in place to correct this. Again, time will tell. This is a school that seems to have a terrific elementary and pre-school program, a decent middle school program with particular strength in science and history and lots of potential for a truiy good high school.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.

Oops! We currently do not have any student information for this school. We rely on the state Department of Education, the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES), and in some cases school administrators such as registrars and principals for this data.
