My child went there. School trips? They crammed children into backs of vehicles without seats or seatbelts! Never asked for volunteers. School van was not working more than half the time. Science tests came from 4-5 questions in the outlined block from the back of each chapter! If a student had one or more siblings there, their behavior was overlooked due to money. The teachers were great then, but the Headmistress had an ego, even the teachers said so. I would like to say that what I experienced with the pre-school children were great. But, my child was not one of them.
Hanover academy is a great school!! :-) the teachers are really nice and everybody is like family. You will make so many friends.
I am a current parent and I could not be more pleased with Hanover Academy. My husbands work makes it very hard to stay in one place for long, but Hanover Academy instantly felt like home, and still does everyday.
This school is a great. They teach your child not only at the highest level of education in their grade, but keep the Christian morals and values from home. The class sizes are small and the children are very well disciplined. I would recommend this school to all parents looking for a good education with great family values.
It is overpriced understaffed and the headmistress turns a blind eye to everything. I wouldn't recommend this school to anyone!
Hanover Academy is a great school with competent, caring professionals. My daughter loved it there. Due to a family move, I left the school for the latest school year. After reading the June 12 post, I had to post a defense for this school. All of the kids I saw seemed to love being there. They were very mannerable to each other and visitors. The school has a lot to offer both academically and socially for its students. I never saw kids walking around aimlessly. The school may have some special needs kids, as most schools do, but there were none that I knew about. Most of the kids were eager to learn and seemed to be bright. The teachers gave the students challenging work as well. Part of having a student is being an involved parent. The June 12 parent could have contacted the school with these concerns.
Hanover Academy does not provide enough supervision of the children in grades 4-8. The children are allowed to walk about aimlessly without direction. No classwork was completed in the last 6 weeks of school. My child now texts below grade level. Most of the children are special needs kids. Their needs are not being addressed. This years workbooks were returned to me with only 25 out of 100 pages having been completed. If you want a place that babysits your kid and makes you feel good then this is the place for you.
One of the most important journeys your child will take in life is the journey through the school years. Hanover Academy is the ultimate place for that journey to take place. WIth its' nurturing environment, and small class size, your child will receive all the resources he/she needs to prepare them for their life ahead.
