I think Axton Elementary School is doing all they can to insure their students get the education they need. My daughter attends Axton and I am very pleased with her performance. She stays for after school tutoring, even though she feels she doesn't need to. I want to be sure she gets the extra work in so she will pass her SOLs. One thing I don't like is the limited PE time the students have. I think they should have PE everyday. After sitting in a classroom for a certain length of time, I think children need some time to relieve stress and anxiety. You can only hold children's attention for so long, then their minds start to wonder.
