We moved to BSG about a year ago. Our son had only attended a private school at Sullins Academy before we came here and we are impressed with PVPS. There is a good communication system between parents, teachers, and students. The school is very much comparable to what we were use to at Sullins minus the tuition. If you have a child in pre-school also check out King's Christian Academy. They have an excellent program and I would also rate it excellent.

My son has attended Powell Valley Primary for three years. Most of the teachers are exceptional and strive to provide the best possible education for the kids. The administration seems to have high expectations which encourages strong teacher and student achievement. Most classrooms are equipped with Smartboards and provide an age-appropriate use of technology. The new gym will provide even more opportunity for athletic achievement and the after-school program is great. The only downfall is the traffic pattern for pick-up students. Even though there are several teachers supervising pick-ups, it is still unsafe and takes a long time to pick up students.
