They cancelled the winter dance because no students wanted to go (only 3 signed up) and now everybody is saying they are going to not go to prom neither. In some classes I spend like half of my time doing nothing. In one class the teacher honestly just sits there and waches us talk then once a week we give current event reports like what is this grade school? He got mad at us for asking him to teach us one day. What a waste of time.

They had a pizza party for the teachers in November because that was the first day they all actually came all school year. Yes they have AP classes but almost nobody passes the tests. They finished the football season with only eleven players because everybody quit before the season ended. And their is alot of turnover with new teachers and administrators all the time. I'm just so glad my son is done with that place.

This school has high expectations of its students, while giving those students a warm, safe environment to excel. The school culture is one where everyone is welcome, there is easy acceptance, and everyone supports one another. For an extremely small school, there is a high level of sports activity, with students playing more than one sport a year. With the number of Advanced Placement classes offered, students have the opportunity to gain almost two semesters of college credit before high school graduation. The campus is beautiful, the students are well behaved and respectful, and the academics are supportive but rigorous. The community also make the school, and the people of B.V. are some of the finest you will ever meet. I Highly recommend this school!

Its not as bad as these other reviews make it out to be they dont 'play around on facebook all day' and only the bad students very rarely say vulgar words to teachers. I went to this school and these accusations are ridiculous of course our sports teams are small its a small town!! And the showing movies all day is bs I find that highly offense some teachers really give it there all to teach!!! and I was an AVERAGE student so i dont even want to hear this!

Very sad little school. Many teachers show movies instead of teaching and play on facebook during the school day. They are constantly complaining to the students (!) about how much they despise the superintendent. With that kind of example the students just do the same (complain all the time). There are a few exceptions but most just add to the negativity.

I think the school is Perfect. It is not all of the students that use swear words and all I've heard from my child is nothing but it is a wonderfull school and Italk to my child about her school everyday after school. I also graduated from Parry McCluer High School with an advanced diploma, I never had any problems with that school and neither has my Daughter who is a senior. Parent

The students are below average and they use swear words to address their peers and their teachers on a daily basis without being held accountable for their actions. Very few higher level courses and barely enough students to make up the minimum number of members on their sports teams (hence many of the teams have losing seasons). Very poor support for teachers and low involvement of parents in the community, aside from complaining.
