This place has no clue what they are doing as far as managing teachers and staff. They have a huge turnover rate for their instructors. Seems as though they get rid of the best and hire the inexperienced. The Executive Director only has to manage a small amount of people and can't seem to handle that.
VIA is incredible. I can't believe how much they are able to do with children all over the spectrum, while still working with the child and the family as individuals. The teacher turnover is actually much lower than the public school system, and even the teachers who are only there for a few years are clearly passionate about their work and most seem to leave to continue education or advance in the field of autism education. I would recommend this school to any parent of a child with autism.
We moved here so my son could attend VIA. There is a high teacher turn over, which is disappointing, tho the teachers that stay, really love the children and provide a great atmosphere. The school is ABA based, but they need to include curriculum in all the age groups for it to be successful. VIA is a great alternative to Public Schools and I would recommend it to any parent of a child/ren with autism.
