My school is filled with hundreds of young learners eager to learn something new everyday!! I love that my school has most of the up to date technology but would love to be able to utilize it more!! Teachers are in desperate need of equipment training!!! Please help us get the things we need so our learners can shoot through the stars!!!

I love this school too! It exceeded my highest expectations. My child has attended for 2 years and I haven't met a single teacher or administrator that I wasn't completely impressed with. The principal is amazing, she is so caring and involved. The building is older but well cared for and clean and the level of technology available to the children is wonderful. There's even a sweet little garden in one of the inner courtyards that the kids helped to plant and maintain. Our other child attended a private school through grade school and I can honestly say that I'm just as happy with this school. Altogether a wonderful, welcoming environment.

I love this school. My son has ADHD and is unmediated and his K teachers were soooo understanding and helped him learn to cope with his problems instead of him getting into trouble. His 1st grade teacher so far this year seems understanding as well. I went there when I was a kid and there have been alot of changes since then and they have all been for the better

I will retire from this school and I am far from retirement age. The new administration is very warm and welcoming to students. The principal was a former primary teacher and absolute LOVES all the children. She puts the best interest of the child above what would be the easier path. Incredible curriculum tie-ins and school special events to bring in parent involvement.

The new administration is wonderful. The class sizes are somewhat large though. The there is a good ratio of races, the classes seem to be very mixed.

Portlock's main strength is its dedicated and loving teachers Though I strongly dissagree with the other parent's posting about racism, it has been my experience that Portlock does have a large number of children that are severe behavior problems and a large percentage of 'uninvolved' parents. This is of course not the school's fault and they succeed at providing a top-notch education to all students whether 'difficult' or not.

I attended this school as a child. Twenty-five years later, my son started school there. I was surprised to see some of the same staff still working there after all that time. Portlock is a very close knit school welcoming all with open arms. The dedication the staff has towards the children and their parents is something you rarely see now in society as a whole. All around it is a wonderful place to educated young minds.

The rules are ridiculous, the teachers favor and there is some racism going on in this school. Also bad kids at such a young age, you can tell most of the parents do nothing in the raising of their children. Sad. Do not send your children here, the school is very disorganized.
