I strongly recommend any parent that is concerned about the welfare of their child to avoid Appletree Learning Center at all costs. This school is far from being a top "private school". The level of communication there is horrible between the corporate staff and the directors and between the directors and the teachers. It seems that the staff at Appletree lie about matters just to keep their school afloat and to keep licensing away and the doors opened. For example, I've caught the directors, the owner of Appletree and two teachers in lies regarding the safety, and learning tasks regarding my child. When a parent asks questions, you can see that excuses are being made or there is this statement or idea that "they aren't aware of something". Also this school is supposed to be a Christian school, but there are only a few Christian activities or measures of learning that are implemented, with the exception of a few teachers actually going the extra mile and teaching the child about Jesus and Christian learning. Again, I don't recommend Appletree Learning Center at all. Find another school that will implement better management and communication to better the child.

I read through the older reviews on here and maybe I just have a higher standard. Even the last place my daughter was had higher standards and it was just a daycare. This place is considered a private school. Other than everyday childhood nursery songs, I haven't heard a single thing christian that my daughter has learned. But that is not even the worst part, their security is poor to non existent. Granted the parents need a fob to get in the door, but there is no one at the front desk to welcome the parents and to ensure that only the parents are coming in. There was a period of time that I didn't have a entry fob, so I had to ring the door bell, which it took at least 5 min for anyone to come to the door. But usually by that time another parent came along and let me in. At the time I didn't know any of the other parents that brought their children there. I could have been anybody just waiting for my chance to get in. Lastly my daughters daily sheet was never filled out correctly, they wrote the exact same times in every day. I picked my daughter up early a few times, her daily sheet said she woke up at 2:30. she was still asleep when I got there at 3.

My Daughter has been going here almost a year now, she will be in kindergarten here next year. I can not say enough positive things about Apple Tree. My husband is deployed more then the average military guy and our daughter has had behavior problems because of the constant stress of the situation. The teachers and director, and asst. director have been wonderful helping us and helping her and providing her with extra special attention. All the people that work there seem to love working with children. My daughter is so far ahead of her age group and the tailor they work to her to challenge her and she is so much happier. She just turned 5 and says atleast once a week "thank you for finding me such a great school mommy". That is all the proof I need! They also do lots of fun parties and special days and different activities with the kids.

I switched my child here over the Summer and have been nothing but pleased since. The director has been very forthcoming about changes in the classroom , and has helped out when transitioning in a new teacher My child seems to be thriving in her new school environment!!

It's a hit or miss, the overall Director is great with parents...but at least 3-4 assistants quit in the yr my son was there...so who knows the real story My son had a few teachers...some were AWESOME and some HORRIBLE. I withdrew my son early due to teacher not checking on why my son was he was limping and in pain all day...she brushed it off because he got his shots...when I picked him up one of his legs was swollen 2.5 inches and BRIGHT red! All day my baby was in pain and NO ONE pulled up his shorts to look! That was my LAST Straw! But the school "looks" nice, clean, good security...and like I said does have SOME great teachers....

I am in love with this school! I recently returned to work after being a SHM for 3 years, and was terrified of the transition phase with my daughter. The ATLC teachers have been a wonderful blessing to my family. Those ladies offer the same loving, nuturing environment that my daughter was provided at home! The educational program is fantastic; my daughter is thriving. My family sings the praises of the teachers and directors of ATLC! If you are looking for a nuturing, faith based, educational program for your child I highly recommend ATLC (we are at the Volvo Pkwy. Center).

This school does have good teachers and a good academic program. My problem is the disorganzation. They give you important informaton at the last minute such tuition rate increases or classroom activities.

This school provides very caring and loving teachers to care for your children. This school is a great preschool for parents who are worried to send there child for the first time. My 5 yr old loves it. He has been there for 2 years and is starting kindergarten there. I feel the school is trying to improve in every level. The only areas I feel could be improved is the organization.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.

Oops! We currently do not have any student information for this school. We rely on the state Department of Education, the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES), and in some cases school administrators such as registrars and principals for this data.
