My daughter has attended this school for three years and will be starting her fourth year this fall. Every teacher we have had has been absolutely wonderful. We are communicated with and always kept up to date. My daughter has adored every one of them! The school is very organized and even gives out very nice assignment books to each and every child. There are tons of great activities for families to participate in and to help raise money. We recently had a carnival!! The principal is fantastic and always keeps families up to date with a weekly phone call on Sundays. We love Curtis elementary and couldn't imagine being anywhere else!

The school is excellent. I'm very happy with the school. we recently move to Virginia and I was worried about my sons adjusting to a new school. The Administrative staff was a gem. They were very helpful and patient with the boys and I. Also, their teachers went the extra mile to make sure my boys get adjusted to their new school. The first quarter report card was great. Also, I'm that the teachers keep you involved in their lessons.

Curtis is a terrific school. It is rather large with over 700 children but it definitely has a small town, caring, nurturing environment. My children are thriving there.

My an is heading into 1st grade and I have had nothing but awesome experiences with Curtis! I am active with the PTA and the school is awesome at keeping the parents involved and up to date on all activities. For being an older building the school is super clean and organized, and the teachers really enjoy teaching the children!

I had the pleasure of attending Curtis elementary as a child in my army brat adventures and it was my favorite of all the elementary schools I attended. Now as a Mom to three children, I have the peace of mind sending then to Curtis! They love their school and the many opportunities it provides. The warm feel of the school with the many family building activities make school a fun place!! Innovative teachers and up to date technology also keep the kids engaged and at the top of the state in education. We love Curtis!!

I have been both very impressed and very disappointed with this school. The teachers are excellent and my children have loved attending here. The administration has been a huge disappointment. The teachers will outlast the current administration and hopefully their replacements will be of higher quality and standards. I recommend this school to parents because your children will be happy here but the teachers and parents often have a difficult time with the administration. As long as my children are cared for and receiving a good education, I'm willing to put up with the frustrations caused by the current administration.

I am a grandmother of a kindergartener. I live out of state and recently visited. I had the opportunity to pick up my granddughter from school. I am very impressed with the attention given to students and families. My granddaughter loves the school and I love being able to learn about Curtis by receiving email information. I am comforted to know they are taking good care of my granddaughter!

My daughter has been attending this school 5 years and loves it. We have a great relationship with all her teachers. The school does not have any sports team, but lots of Organizations in the neighborhood offer sports activities. The school does offer after school enhancement program with activities and classes. They have a very active PTA. The students participate in a monthly evening program(Plays,Art Show,Talent Show, etc.). Each grade goes on a field trip at least one per year. Keep up the good work Curtis.

I am a parent of two former Curtis students and a special education teacher at the school. I know this school cares about students. The administration is supportive of its staff and it is greatly admired by the teachers. My children still talk about activities and former teachers that taught them so much here. Our PTA is inviting to new and old members alike and treats the teachers to muffins every Monday and special lunches throughout the year. High academic standards are expected and many opportunities to excel are offerred. I love working at Curtis and am so grateful my children had such a wonderful journey in learning.

My two son's graduated from Curtis and the Teacher's and Administrative Staff were of the highest calibre. The PTA was especially strong and vocal when deemed necessary.
