Well they made a educational move for my kid, I found out a week later after I inquired about something being different. They passed it over as ok, but mind you the forms to my agreeing came home right after it was found.

This will be my third and last year at Carver. Though the years were great, the redistricting in my opinion wasn't the greatest choice. Also some of the rules make no sense, such as: No Sharpies, No Jackets or Articles of Clothing w/ a Hood, No Gum Chewing, No 'Oversized' Coats or Jackets, No Sling Bags, Purses, Or Bookbag. Carver is a good school, but seriously some of the rules seem like they're just made to aggravate us. Kids should'nt be suspended or given detention for being normal and carrying a bag or wearing a coat. I agree with the rating 6 out of ten just because Carver needs to lighten up. It's not like we did anything wrong.

This achool has a lot going for it- some great teachers, lots of cool activites and an awesome principal. The redistricting has made a huge impact on Carver- all for the better.

I'm an eight grader here and everything is great. It's a very safe school with fairly new installed cameras that were installed last year for the protection of students. We have a great principal who actually won Principal of the Year in Virginia of 2008.

Great school . Lots of redistricting, so less students (compared to previous years). The principal, who is fairly new at Carver, is fantastic. He and his staff have made many great strides in making carver a top school.

I went to Carver from 2001-2004. I enjoyed learning there. I was a frequent participant in the chorus program & hand chimes & I must say that I gained a lot of friendships & a lot of confidence, even for someone as shy as I was. If your child attends this school, the best thing [in my opinion] is to get them involved in something, especially those who need breaking out of their shell. The music programs go on field trips & compete with other schools at festivals. It's a blast! The teachers are wonderful as well.
