Since Callaghan Elementary is the only primary school my three sons attended, all grades K-7, I must rate it at the highest level. I have been associated with Callaghan for the past 30 years, my oldest son entered First Grade here in 1974. After 14 years of being the resident 'school Mom,' I was hired as a full time teacher assistant in 1988. Now I consider myself the resident 'grama.' Callaghan is the 'Greatest School in the Universe.'

Callaghan Elementary is by far the best school in Alleghany County and probably in Virginia. Mrs. Moga is the most professional, organized and dedicated leader, and her staff rises to her every challenge. With an emphasis on character and citizenship, children learn to become good people as well as good students!
