Awesome all around!! Was very dedicated with my childs education. Strong leadership, wonderful Principal and Vice Principal. My sons teachers were always there to help him. Thanks so much for making 3rd grade such a wonderful expierence for us. M.Ringler
The majority of the teachers seem very understanding and talented. My child does have one teacher who seems burned out or doesnt like kids. Whenever there is a bus concern, the AP is always there to work it out. I haven't really dealt with the principal, she seems too busy or talking. The only issue I have come across is too much of an emphasis on testing - kids seem to test all the time. I dont blame the school though.
I don't know where to begin, to start my second grader was given ISS and I wasn't notified and was only aware of it because my fifth grader saw her being brought down. When I called to see what happened they didn't seemed concerned that no one called to notify us. The next year my daughter now third grade came home signing an inappropriate song which she learned in music, I was told by the Principal (who by the way never bothered to introduce herself and only knew it was her from the yearbook) that she could sit out during the song as if saying it was fine to still listen to and then finally commented that they had been using it in summer school for years as if that made it ok. Then finally stated that they would remove the song. All of this mind you was being discussed in the school lobby because we were never asked to an office to discuss our concerns. At least the music teacher seemed genuinely concerned over it and apologized. I have zero confidence in the principal she had a serious lack of professionalism.
Administration at the school has gotten a lot more open to listening and helping parents and the students. My grandchild had an issue and the asst principal was the most pleasant person my daughter or I have dealt with. Finally. The school is open, welcoming, and just great. I am so glad I came to Culpeper with my daughter and we chose sycamore park.
I love Sycamore Park. The teachers are dedicated and really do care about the students. The staff is friendly. The programs are wonderful. I love all of the ways they involve parents. Amanda
This school is terrific. Our two older sons went here over 10 years ago and many of the same fantastic teachers are still here. That tells you a lot about a school. These teachers love kids, they love to teach and they know how to combine these two passions to nurture and guide our youth. Both older sons excelled all through high school and into college and attribute much of their love of learning to their time at Sycamore Park. We love this school and these teachers--thank you, Sycamore Park!
This school is excellent, my daughter feels that the staff really care about her, everybody knows her name and she improved a lot. Thanks Sycamore Park.
Fantastic public school... Very impressive staff.
Wow! I can't believe I'm the first to say the Sycamore Park Elementary School has a dedicated staff, a safe & positive atmosphere and a great learning environment for the students. My two sons have really blossomed at SP and my wife and I are happy they attend.
