I am very pleased with South Elementary School. I was nervous about my son attending when we first moved to this area and everyone at the school has been excellent. I commend all of the teachers and staff for their efforts. It did not take him long to get acquainted with the Virginia Curriculum and coming right in before the SOLs this past year; he still was able to pass them with flying colors. Thank you everyone at South for all of your hard work and the attention you give to your students. It does not go unnoticed!

South Elem is the best. We are new to the school district this year and moved during the year. They have helped my son feel welcome and comfortable. The teachers and staff are excellent! Great job South! I am so greatful I selected this school district and look forward to my youngest entering your school next year for another great year!

being a military family its hard to find a really great school that the whole family can get into but south elementary is the best school my kids have ever been too. The teachers are friendly and extra helpful.MY children learned so much there I wish we could pack up the school and take it with us on the next move

My daughter went to this school for around two years (part of 4th grade and all of 5th grade)and our family absolutely loved this school. The teachers are very friendly and are willing to assist in any matter. When it came to SOL time, the school made it fun for the students while learning. There weren't many extracurricular activities for the the kids and there weren't any sports, but there was plenty with the city to make up for what the school lacked. South is a great school and I recommend it to any parent for their child/children. Keep up the great work South staff!
