What an amazing school. As a former teacher, this is the place that I only imagined when I studied education. The teachers, administrators, staff and students all seem to LOVE being there. I am thrilled to be sending my children there and pinch myself when I think that this is a public school. Can't imagine better.

Broadus Wood School has an excellent principal, teachers and staff. Teachers are always trying to bring the best out of each student regardless of natural ability. I love volunteering at Broadus Wood.

Don't know why it got low rating. It should be a 9 or 10. This school is fantastic. The Principal know every student's name. Teaching quality is superb. Lots of activities like Roller Skating nights. Everyone's kind hearted here. Very nice school

Don't let the Great School rating fool you. I moved to the area last year before the school year started, at that time Broadus Wood had a higher score. As I have come to realize that there scores are base only on SOL's. As we all know standardized tests are flawed, it does not reflect the truth of the education our children are recieving. Please read all the other parent reviews you will not be sorry you choose Broadus Wood as your school.

Broadus Wood is a great school! I have two children there and have been very happy with all aspects of the school. The teachers are fabulous and have recognized the different needs of my children and have really gone out of thier way to be accomodating. Parent involvement is encouraged and there is a very active PTO. The after school activities are too numerous to list, and include robotics, chess and languages. The staff is great - there is always a friendly smile and a helping hand. We have had 4 great years there and are looking forward to 4 more!

We have been very pleased with the education our daughter and son have received at Broadus Wood. We have found the staff and administration to be very accessable and welcoming of parent involvement. There are many extra activities for the students and parents to participate in after school hours. My children love the skate nights and the parents love the chance to socialize with friends. We have a strong sense of community. Broadus Wood truly is a special world.

We have been very pleased with the quality education that our children have received at Broadus Wood. Broadus Wood is a big part of the reason we built our house where we did. A rating of 4 is outrageous! A rating of 9 with potential room for continued growth is more like it!

My youngest is about to 'graduate' from Broadus Wood, and we have had wonderful experiences there.

I moved to Earlysville 2 1/2 years ago from Fairfax County which has an excellent school system; I have found Broadus Wood to be as good, if not better than those schools. I have 2 children there currently and another on the way there next year and I would not hesitate to recommend Broadus Wood! The level of school community found there is unmatched and the personal care that is afforded each student by the loving staff there is superb. Student/teacher ratio is great and the principal is innovative and open to new ideas and directioins for the school. My children have been exposed to so many cultural events due to a very active PTO and enthusiastic faculty; field trips abound and outside speakers are brought in on a regular basis. Parents are very involved there and the school serves as a major community touchstone.

We have two boys at Broadus Wood and have been impressed by the personal attention they receive. And, the sense of community at the school is second to none. Special events like Friday Night Skate Night, Boy's Bash, Father Daughter Dance, etc create a warm, open environment. We tried private school for our first two years in this area, but prefer the experience and education at Broadus Wood.

Broadus Wood is a great school! My two kids are at very different academic and social levels, and this school is great at catering to students individual needs. There is outstanding parental involvement, and the teachers are great...very small class sizes and one of the only elementary schools in the county to provide after school foreign language classes ...A+
