Beech Tree is an amazing community school that makes sure all kids and their familes get what they need. I have never worked with a more dedicated group of professionals in my 20+ years as an educator.

Beech Tree is a great community school with a very warm and caring staff. The school has set many benchmarks for this enormous school district and we're proud that our "little" ES is a leader for Fairfax County.

I truly believe that my Granddaughters have received a wonderful education here. But, more than that, the multi-cultural experience has helped to create two very non-prejudiced, very accepting, well-rounded young ladies.

Beech Tree accepts all children and provides incredible individualized education (whether your child needs special services or just a little more challenging work). The staff is the BEST anywhere!

Beech Tree is a warm, welcoming school that celebrates its diversity and respects students and parents. Principal Phillips is accessible to parents and students alike, very involved with what is happening on a daily basis, and responsive to questions and concerns.

Beech Tree is a wonderful school. It has great diversity which enhances the learning environment, but also accounts for lower test scores. Our child does wonderfully at Beech Tree. Teachers are enthusiastic and Principal Phillips is a top notch administrator who is also very involved with her students.

Terry Phillips has managed to bring a more relaxed atmosphere to Beech Tree while maintaining excellence in academics and student behavior and involvement. The biggest challenge faced by Beech Tree is its diverse student population. The diversity is supposed to result in extra funds for the school for smaller class sizes. This year (2006-7) however there weren't enough funds for an extra fifth grade teacher, resulting in extra diversity and less individual attention. The Gifted and Talented program is a joke. Fairfax County has made a mockery of this program and it serves only to alienate students. This program is especially unnecessary in Elementary School.
