Lee Hill Elementary School

I spend a great deal of time volunteering at Lee Hill - I've never been discouraged to come in and pitch in! My son's teachers have been diligent and creative in helping us to tackle his reading challenges and help him succeed.

Not very happy with our experience here so far. Parent involvement has been discouraged, staff is not very receptive to feedback or change, and if your child is bright or gifted this may be a poor experience. After transferring from another district, our child feels as if he is not learning anything this year and it seems that there is nothing more that can be done. Having experienced. Having experienced 5 elementary schools over the past 20 years, this one has been one of the most unfriendly... so far.

I am parent of a student that attends the BEST school in Spotsylvania County. This year LHES won the Govenor's Choice Award for Academic Excellence! I would encourage the community to continue to support Mrs. Cunningham and Mrs. Belako for their excellence leadership for the best teachers in Spotsy! Go LIONS!

My daughter went to a private school for kindergarten and I was extremely displeased with her progress. By the end of the K year she still couldn't put simple words together. I decided to put her into public school. I cannot tell you how scared I was to move her from a pvt school to a pub school, but I have to tell you it was the best thing I could have done for my daughter. This school is wonderful. Her first grade year was amazing, not only for her but for us too. Lee Hill Elementary helped my daughter learn to read and write well. We also were impressed by the efforts the teachers put in to help the kids learn, and the PTO is hands on at this school. Also communication is frequent and acurate, most of the time. I would recommend this school to anyone!
