We were part of this community and happy to relocate due to the many issues of this school. 1st they push you for donations whether in school or in church. 2nd The leadership is shocking as not many problems ever get addressed. 3rd Parental involvment is a clique. 4th is academics are mostly based on religious education not academic. 5th there is no teacher with an advanced degree. They don't have many extra curricular activities for children at the school and if they do it is done by parents volunteering. It is a real shame because we had high hopes for this school and sad to say it is a small school with small minds and we are happy to be no longer be in this school.. The diocese should have restructured this school a long long time ago.
St. Patrick School has been a wonderful atmosphere for our daughter. She has excelled academically, her confidence has soared, and she has developed spiritually. The small, close-knit community is the perfect environment for your child to thrive. There is never any concern that your child will get "lost" in a sea of students. The teachers are dedicated, and the principal is a strong and capapble leader. If we weren't moving out of state, our daughter would remain at St. Patrick's through 8th grade.
I really loved St. Patrick School. My sister has recently gotten into the Commonwealth Governor's School, and so has another St. Patrick student. This school has the perfect balance of discipline and homeliness. The teachers push you to do your best. Yes, some nights I would get 2+ hours of homework, but you know what? All that homework has helped me build and perfect skills in all subjects. I would recommend this school to get trouble makers or students who are having trouble with grades. The teachers, and even the kind students within the school are always there to help each other out. Overall, this school is the school in both the private, and public sectors.
St. Patricks is a very small school and cannot offer your child everything. The best they will do after graduation is St. Michaels, a small non-diocesan school. Send your children to Holy Cross. It is much better.
This school really prepared me academically. The school is small and homey. I would recommend anyone to come.
Saint Patrick School has really prepared me both academically and spiritually for high school - I attended St. Pats from kindergarten thru eight grade - I am much ahead of many of the other students at my current high school. I am in honors and AP classes. I was fortunate to have caring teachers at St. Pats that challenged and encouraged me to do my best.
Saint Patrick School has given both my children a wonderful academic and spiritual foundation. The faculty is student friendly and teachers care about the students academics. Most students that graduate from 8th grade are ahead when starting high school and the moral foundation they received very much benefitted them in making appropriate choices. I am thankful with the decision to send them to this school.
Both of my daughters have attended St. Patrick School since Pre-3 pre-school. They have done very well acedemically and socially. The small school atmosphere has enabled them to receive close attention from their teachers which has contributed to their success. St. Patrick School offers a unique family-centered atmosphere where students and families interact often together. We have loved every minute of our time at St. Pat's!!
