My child actually goes to the Little Sheep Preschool which is part of Riverfront right now, but we are following 2 cousins who went there and will send our 2nd child there next year. The school is wonderful, it is Christ centered without losing any emphasis on academics. The teachers are a solid mix of seasoned experience and fresh perspectives and work to motivate and inspire their students - from preschoolers to seniors! Just a fantastic group and school!

I pray that this school may continue to improve sooner then later. I agree with one of the post then ideas are not easily received especially with the Director. With my experience the Director gave me the run around with many issues. As a Christian school I am shocked at some of the things that taking place in the school. I am surprised the doors are still open! Some of the teachers should not be there and that is clearly my opinion. My child will not be returning next year but I do wish them much luck and pray they that change a lot of their structure and open up their eyes and ears.

As the Technology teacher of Riverfront's high school students, I have become very impressed with the staff and the students. The students are eager to learn about new and improved technology and I am well supported by the staff. The students are learning about 3D printing technology and continue to create 3D models using the 3D printer kit they built from scratch. The students have learned about Microsoft Operating Systems install as well has hardware installations for Microsoft Windows based computers. The students are fluent in Microsoft Office and will be well prepared for college and any job opportunties that may be available to them. The students are learning about Internet Safety and how to build small local area networks. I may be biased but I believe I have a great group of kids in our Technology classes and I am very proud to watch them grow. I would hope the public will become more informed in the high school program available as well as other classes for up and coming youngsters.

If you have a child with some additional needs like organizational support, etc., this is not the place for you. A week can go by before a teacher will respond to an email and sometimes you'll get no response at all. If you need ongoing information about assignments and activities, you'll find very poor communication. This is a school that caters to their long term enrollees rather than new admissions.

My family has been apart of the Riverfront community for over 6 years. I have watched this school improve it's academic program, build an athletic and superior elementary Art program. The administration and teachers are easy to communicate with and are quick to address my concerns. Even though Riverfront still does not have gym, that has not stopped them from providing an excellent physical education program for the students. Riverfront cares about the physical health of the students. In my opinion, Riverfront has developed into a excellent school and is keeping up with the educational trends. This school is a great place to educate children.

Riverfront Christian School has been a wonderful experience for my two sons who have attended for 3 years at the high school level. They have enjoyed the Christian atmosphere as well as the challenging academics. The teachers obviously see their roles as ministries and not just jobs and take an active interest in the students' progress. My boys have enjoyed the variety of sports as well as the extracurricular activities available.

The academic program is great (A Becka which can be taught easily at home) but may be too rigid an enviornment for some children. There are several seasoned teachers who are wonderful with the children. It is evident they have encountered many student personalities and have the skills to teach each one. Volunteer time and donations are expected to support the school and the church. I can not comment on the sports offered as my children were not involved. There is no gymnasium or space other than the classroom (which barely accomodate 15 students) for physical education when weather does not permit outside activity. There is little time for the younger students (K-3) to burn off energy. Suggestions for improvement of parent/teacher/director communication (which is poor) are not received openly. If you have the time to be involved constantly it can be a wonderful place for your child's education.

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
