Beware if you have a child that has special needs-this is not the school (or county) for your family. Disappointing treatment of both child and parents; more concerned with test scores and achieving school status than the education of ALL children-not just those that fit the mold and make them look good.

In 2012 Tyler transitioned from one great principal to another great principal. Excellent teachers and friendly staff. Tyler is a great school and a great experience for my son.

Awesome third grade team! Allowing data to inform instruction creates successful outcomes! I enjoy the collegial environment of the third grade team compared to past experiences. We keep the mind of the student first and we strive to keep parents informed of the curriculum and instruction. Working with first rate teachers, including a world-class reading coach, innovative LD teacher and enthusiastic ESOL teacher makes for a win-win situation! Always a privilege to be a member of this faculty and staff, putting the child first! Finally, the PTO adds to the spirit of this great school!

I can't say enough great things about Tyler Elementary! My family absolutely loves this school! Not only have we been very pleased with the teachers, but we are especially grateful for the extraordinary administrators there, particularly the ladies in the office who care for our children on a daily basis. Both of our kids were two grade levels behind in reading at the beginning of the school year and are both now reading on grade level. Everyone has gone above and beyond to give our kids what they need, not only academically, but emotionally. We are so thankful for everyone at Tyler, they have made an enormous and lasting impact on our children that will carry through their entire lives. Thank you to all of you.

My children received a first year teacher and a first year aid in the same classroom and that was very poor planning on the school's behalf.

My four children attend Tyler ES. Both me and my wife are active participants in the school programs and often have interaction with the teachers and staff as both of us are involved in the scout program (cub scouts and girl scouts). The staff is very proactive in reducing potential issues with the children. One of our children is very active and has needed extra attention during class. The teacher and the administration were very quick to work with us to develop a program specifically for him that would not impact the rest of the class but would also encourage him to stay on task. I cannot say enough about the quality of the education being provided at Tyler both through the normal class ciriculum as well as the Music, Art, START and other programs currently at the school.

As a staff member at Tyler I can't say enough about the students and faculty at Tyler. Absolutely top notch. If my children were in elementary school I would definitely bring them here.

My child recently transferred to Tyler from Mountain View. All I can say is that this has been a tremendous move for my daughter. She went from being just a number at her old school to being welcomed by name by the staff and faculty at Tyler. Her self esteem has skyrocketed. Thank you Tyler
