Yes, Glade Hill Elementary School is certainly a diamond in the rough. We enrolled our son into kindergarten last year (he is in 1st grade this year) and we have been extremely pleased with the quality of education and committment to the students here. It all starts at the top with the principal, Mrs. Poindexter and extends to an excellent teaching staff and facility support. We have even decided against moving to Northern VA due, in part, to the positive educational climate that our son is gaining here at Glade Hill. Bravo to the staff!!!

My child is having a wonderful experience here. There is a new principal who is encourages lots of parental and community involvement. I feel so blessed to have my child at Glade Hill.

GHES is full of wonderful teachers and students. There is very little parent involvement due to the principal. During the 2009-2010 school year GHES has discontinued observing a moment of silence in the morning and saying the 'Pledge of Allegiance'. But all in all the teacher and students work very hard.
