After moving to Gloucester from the west coast and trying out one of the public schools, we are very thankful to have found Ware Academy. Unfortunately public schools here only care about their students scores on SOL tests but Ware Academy cares about academics and the student. My daughter loves to go to school again and is thriving.

My children look forward to school every day. The curriculum, assignments, faculty, etc. are fostering educational environments; I am grateful to have them in the community.

i dont really like ware all that much. Don't get me wrong though, it's a great school. However, I don't feel that its focus is on helping the students, it's just to teach and jump from one subject to another to get done with it. Yet still the teachers are great. I guess i have mixed feelings about it.

We love this school! It's relatively small, one class of no more than 20 students per grade, and has excellent teachers. Our children are thriving here and we greatly appreciate its focus on the whole student not just standardized scores. Ware emphasizes a variety of Arts programs, which is very hard to find in lower school.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
