Petsworth Elementary School

My grandson goes there, they teach the children to be patriotic and he loves it!

It's the staff-from the Principal, the teachers, all the way to the janitor. Everyone truly cares about the children. They go above what one would expect. It's absolutely the best school!!

My daughter is in second grade. Her teachers have been very good about working to accommodate her above-average learning needs. They are always available for conference calls and interact well with the parents. I feel the school needs more challenging curriculum to help keep my daughter interested in learning and moving forward. The school is providing her with the opportunity to test for the gifted program so I believe they have a good grasp of what she needs in order to excel. She loves going to school at Petsworth, has a lot of friends and is happy. The school environment is warm and welcoming, parents are encouraged to participate in field trips and classroom functions. Ms. Perhac and her staff are attentive and helpful and genuinely interested in the education of the students. I would like to see more in and after school programs offered for the students.

I have 3 children at Petsworth. My oldest since she was in Kindergarten, she is in the 5th grade now. I have been involved with the school since 2001. I haven't wanted to request any teachers because I think Petsworth has FANTASTIC teacher in all the grade levels. There are opportunities for extracurricular activities at Petsworth. Just yesterday my 5th grader got the opportunity to be a part of the Holiday Music Program which is a play this year. In the Spring the PE teacher works with a group of children to run in a 5K RUN. They have offered a Spanish class after school and a beginner's gymnastic class too. Our ART teacher uses ACTUAL clay with the children. Our Library is fantastic! We even have 12 NEW computers! Our Standard of Learning TEST (year of year tests) have always gone really well and we have excelled at them.

Petsworth Elemenatary is a primary school for children. The principal, Ms. Perhac, is very involved in this school. The teachers there are also great. They go to great lengths to help the children score higher on the SOL tests. The saftey and discipline for the children is also wonderful. You could not ask for a better school. Thanks for a job well done.

I have three girls at petsworth...I don't wan't them at anyother school then this one...we love petsworth..the teachers are helpful and so are the woman in the office...they know me by name and my girls...they have alot to do in that office but when I call in they help me so well...thank's to all at petsworth....Ruth miles...
