I just had my final year as a student at Peasley and I must say that these three years have made a great impact on my life. I have bonded with so many great teachers that know how to communicate and do their job correctly. However, there are a handful of teachers that do not know their place. They are just there for the summers and the paychecks. But I do know a lot of great teachers. Their music program is fantastic. I highly recommend rising 6th graders and 7th graders to take chorus and/or banda. Both great and fun classes that will help your child learn about music and make many friends and memories. The vibe of the school is great, but as I noted, some of the staff is disrespectful and don't do their job the way they should. I have kept my A-streak all three years with the help and guidance of great and smart adults that know what they're doing. Oh. And seriously, your child MUST have music exploration and/or chorus at least once in their Peasley experience. Not joking. The teacher is, no doubt, one of the teachers that knows what they are doing. You will not regret it.

This is my daughters first year at this school and she has one teacher out of the many we met at open house that gave me bad vibes. She stood out and not in a good way.And to this day she has had it out for my daughter. You would think that after the first few times she gives your child LUNCH DETENTIOn that she would call the parent and inform me of this.Instead it just goes on and on and I never know about it until my child comes home and tells me.I know there is less then 3 months of school left but I am definitely putting a stop to her "bullying".My child loves school, loves all of her teachers except this ONE.I have heard nothing but bad things about this teacher from other parents and students.

Peasley Middle School is an intuitive, well balenced school between teachers and students. There is low gossip and high expectations of grades, and they will not allow you to cause trouble or there will be a punishment.

As a parent whose child attends Peasley , I cannot recommend this school. . The amount of disrespect demonstrated by students toward teachers is unacceptable. However, the same amount of disrespect is shown by the teachers toward the students. Administration appears to be sympathetic toward problems but are ineffective. Bullying is a huge problem at the school, too. Home schooling is a better option.

i am a former student at Peasley and i loved it more than any other school. It's great (: all of the teachers i had were wonderful. Especially the chorus teacher MR. OTTO! He is truely amazing. I have always liked to sing but this teacher helped me realized that it is my true passion. I love this school and everything about it. Don't listen to the parents who say it's bad. They have NO idea how it is to actually attend this amazing school. The teachers show the perfect amount of attention to every student and always go the extra mile to show they care (: i love you Peasleyyy! (:(: -cassie moore (:

This is my son's first year at Peasley & there is definately a lack of communication. There are teacher's there that really care about the children and there are other's who are just there for their pay checks and the summer's off. If your child is not a honor roll student then he/she doesn't stand a chance. There has been a paticular teacher this year who has been on my son's back since day 1. My son can't stand this teacher and neither do I. All of his other one's he loves. I guess there's all ways 1 teacher each year that you will all ways have a problem with.

Mydaughter completed her 1st year at Peasley & we were very pleased. She is a well-conforming child and hard-working student and the teachers really seemed to respond and encourage her, except for one 7th grade Math teacher! Other than her, and a cookie sale that produced No promised prizes, we were satisfied with Peasley. Bus drivers need more training and higher expectations in Glo County!

My child has attended Peasley for a year now and there seems to be a lack of communication between the teachers and staff. It is very difficult to find out what is happening in the classroom and the school discourages parents from visiting. There is a new principle and I have been told things are improving but there is still an old school atmosphere. We love the community in gloucester and the people are nice but the school system is lacking.

My special needs child has attended Peasley for one year. The staff and administration discourages visiting your child at school. The lack of homework and the implementation of an appropriate reading program for the kids at my childs level did not get started till Febuary 2007, despite repeated requests. Overall very disappointed in the level of education being provided and the lack of real communication. I can not speak for typical children but if you have a special child and like to be involved in their school and classroom then I would not recommend Peasley.

My son is finishing his 6th grade year at Peasley and I love the school. All of his teachers have been wonderful they keep in contact with me and are very friendly and informative. Mr. Rosenberg in Guidance is great with parent input in class scheduling. IMO, there are no discipline problems at school. I have been very pleased with the amount of after school activites and athletics. They are used as a reward and incentive program for the kids to do well. I have always felt welcome at the school. I have attended the quarterly conference nights, chaparoned the activity nights and attened my sons baseball and basketball games regularly. This is a great school.
