We moved from out of state, from a large city, with high quality schools and were excited to find that JM Bevins is an exceptional school. The classes are small, the teachers are dedicated and, considering the location in central appalachia, the teachers here literally work miracles with the students they have.

This is a great school ! The teachers and Aides at J. m. Bevins make it a very nice an enjoyable place to be. Everyone there treat each other with respect and as a family, If a child has a problem he or she can feel free to talk to anyone there and the teachers there will try within every means to help this child in some way. These people are not just Teachers and Aides to the children , they are a friend to them as well. This is a great school for anyones child to grow and learn. Check it out for yourself, if you are not satisfied you can always leave and try and find another school for your kids, but you will never find one as good as this one with caring people. The Custodians, The Cafeteria workers, they all are good to your children.

I would like to say that this is an excellent school ! The teachers and Aides are just wonderful. Everyone there treats the children like they are someone and they all treat each other with respect, just like family. If a child comes to one of the faculty or staff members of this school with a problem , they will try within everything in them to help this child. J.M. Bevins is just a wonderful place for children to grow and learn.(check out the sol testing scores) All the teachers, custodians , and cafeteria workers , they all are just great with the kids. Just check it out for yourself, if you dont like it you can always try to find another school better, but I bet you will never find one with a better group of people to look after and take care of your kids, this school is WONDERFUL !

This school is a great school with great pupils and teachers while I attended J. M. Bevins I found it comforting to know that I was attending the best school in Buchanan County. This school, along with Russel Prater, placed the hightest on the SOL testing. This school is the best for your child.

Most of the parents that I speak with are wonderful and so nice and helpful. I seriously think we need to get another principal in there that the kids can interact with as well as the parents. The education is good but not enough extracurricular activities for the younger students. I actually think that this principal is only thinking about the money for the school and not our children. My child will not attend JM Belvins next year.
