This school is great and provides a incredible learning environment. But, as the others have said, the food is terrible. Another thing to put against the school would be the technology 'help' if you will. The people managing the technology is novice.

Psst....Harmony has excellent teacher's. There is a 14 year old student who got excepted to the PEG program at Mary Baldwin College for the the Fall of 2010. This is great news having a middle schooler skipping high school. Wondering why they keep Hamony a secret and why they not advertise such great news???

I agree with the previous review. Harmony is a great place to learn, and I am doing well there. The food however, is not great. It is average, of the food that is edible. The spaghettie looks like puke, the eggrolls are terrible, the vegatables are mushy, and the pizza is decent but usually burnt. The school in general is great, but the food has a lot of room for improvement.

Overall, Harmony Intermediate School is a wonderful place to learn. The teachers are wonderful and the staff excells many other schools i have seen. On another note, the food tastes nowhere near the five star rating they currently hold onto. When many television shows show school lunchrooms, they show food that nobody can identify, what are supposed to be vegetables are green mush. That is about what Harmony Cafeteria food is like. I have spoken to many of my peers and they also agree that the food is horendus. On a lighter note, the learning enviornment is incredible! The teachers are humurous and helpful and the staff complete their jobs in a complete and orderly manner.

I think it's an excellent school giving the kids a nice blend of freedom and structure, in a nice, windowed environment.

Harmony has made the best of an awkward situation. It was built to temporarily alleviate the over crowding of our schools, taking 8th-&-9th-graders. Temporary has unfortunately meant 5-years, plus! At first, I was concerned about my 8th-grader being pushed into a high school environment, but I am glad my now-9th-grader has one more year of transition. Both grades have opportunities to participate in high-school activities, and they have their own activities within the school. Harmony is always very protective of their students and quick to react to 'events' in the news that heighten our concerns for safety, as parents. The 'team-teaching' approach in this school, in conjuction with longer classes(block-scheduling)has been educationally very effective for my 2 children. Beware!-This school will soon face a dire situation of overcrowding because of unnecessary litigation over the location of a new high-school from the town-of-Purcellville. Do your homework if you are moving here!

Harmony is filled with great teachers but what they lack is good rules. I'm a student and most things are acceptable but there are some absurd rules like we arent allowed to bring backpacks to class. The principal makes up false reasons why we cant and when we prove her wrong she ignores us.
