A.W.E. Bassette Elementary School

I have several children who have attended Bassette, and two currently there. There was a time when I thought it was wonderful. Now I am not so sure. The new principal can not relate to us parents. When I tried to talk to her she appeared to busy and several times she refers me to the assistant. I feel like she is not running the show but putting on a front. They should close Bassette or find a new principal.

It is sad to say that this school is not as nurturing as it once was when Mrs. Haywood was principal. The new principal is phony and non caring about the kids

My daughter attended pre-k at this school. She loves it, and I am comfortable in the knowledge that she will be where she needs to be when kindergarten starts.

My so goes to This School for the head start progam but so far so good. He has been in the program for two years now and he has learned a lot. Even more so this year last year the teachers were not all that great but this year he has really great teachers that care about him and are working with him to prepare him for kindergarten. I guess it does not matter what school you go to it is the teachers and how involved you are in your childs life

my son maybe only going to this school for the head start progam but I really like his teachers this year at this school. They are really concerned for my childs education
