Wythe Elementary School

Actually, Wythe is a decent school and there are teachers there that care a great deal about their students.

I whole-heartedly agree with the previous parents who posted here. My child attends the school currently and we are moving mid year just to get out of the Whythe zone. My daughters teacher is hostile, yet the school boasts that she is one of the best they have. Do not enroll your child here.

I totally agree with the first post. My daughter has been there for 3 years and not happy. A lot of the children misbehave a great deal and the teachers have to be a little on the mean side to get through, I guess is the way they have to operate. I feel that some children only get to learn what is needed to get by and do not thrive. To improve, the school would need better leadership, more caring/patient/understanding teachers and involved parents. I would not recommend this school to anyone for any reason.

I feel like there are quite a few things that could be done to make the school, it's processes, and policies a great deal better. The teachers and staff in general could all use better judgement and a slightly different state of mind when it comes to the children and the involvement of the parents.
