I think NES is a great school. I feel that most schools have an issue or problem once in awhile, then they figure how to correct it. Like the other postee am sorry your child had that experience. My experience with the school has been good and I would recomend this school to any parent that wants their child to have the best possible education and teachers that care.

This is a great school. I would say this is an isolated event. My grandchildren attended this school and we had minor problems. I am sorry she had a terrible experience with the school. I would rate this school higher.

I DON'T SEE HOW THIS SCHOOL HAS RECEIVED 5 STARS! THIS IS A TERRIBLE SCHOOL AND I WILL BE PULLING MY SON OUT ASAP! THE BUS HAS SCREWED UP HIS BUS STOP SEVERAL TIMES...1 THEY FORGOT TO PUT HIM ON THE BUS. I HAD TO CALL THE SCHOOL TO FIND OUT MY SON WAS SITTING IN THE OFFICE (WHY DIDNT THEY CALL ME????!!!...2 THEY FORGOT TO DROP HIM OFF AND INSTEAD OF GETTING OFF THE BUS AT 3:45 HE GOT HOME AT 5:30! WE HAD TO CALL THE POLICE TO EVEN FIND THAT MY SON WAS STILL ON THE BUS BC THE SCHOOL WAS ALREADY CLOSED. AND THE 3RD TIME....THEY PUT HIM ON THE WRONG BUS!!!!!!!!!!! THE TEACHER..WELL THATS ANOTHER STORY ALL TOGETHER. SHE SHOULDNT EVEN BE TEACHING 1ST GRADERS. SHE IS ABSOLUTELY WICKED!!! I DO BELIEVE HER SMART MOUTH WILL SOON SEND ME THROUGH THE ROOF AND SHE WILL NOT LIKE ME ANY LONGER. I CANT STAND THIS SCHOOL, THEIR LACK OF CARING, NOR THE ATTITUDE OF THE STAFF!!!!!!! I WILL BE TAKING MY SON TO CHESAPEAKE ACADEMY!!!!! IF YOU LOVE AND CARE ABOUT YOUR CHILDREN AND HOW THEY ARE TREATED AVOID THIS SCHOOL BC YOU WILL END UP GOING TO JAIL!!

About the tests

The SOL tests are standards-based, which means they measure how well students are mastering specific skills defined for each grade by the state of Virginia. The goal is for all students to pass the tests.
