My daughter loves going to school. She's learning a lot thanks to her Kindergarten teachers. Her teachers are great!

Small school but big value for the community in Lucketts. Very active PTA and the teachers genuinely care about the students. The new principal has not missed a beat and the forward direction she is leading the school towards is refreshing! She gets that sometimes "kids will just be kids." In his day and age, that is something worth writing about. Still the hidden gem of Loudoun.

My spouse and I are greatly impressed with the quality of the education, the experience and aptitude of our children's teachers, and the school activities. Lucketts Elementary School incorporates school activities with community events leaving us with a well rounded experience. The staff and administration are very deserving of the 10 of 10 rating on this site.

This is a darling little school, and last year we had a wonderful experience and I would have given this the full rate had I done this last year. However, this year I haven't been nearly as impressed with the teacher. However, my child has learned a lot and seems genuinely happy. This school is above average, and I hope next year we have better luck with our teacher.

About the tests

In 2012-2013 Virginia used the Standards of Learning (SOL) tests to assess students in reading and math in grades 3 through 8, writing in grades 5 and 8, and science in grades in 3, 5 and 8. The SOL tests are standards-based, which means they measure how well students are mastering specific skills defined for each grade by the state of Virginia. The goal is for all students to pass the tests.
