Claude Thompson is a good, small elementary school which has a newly (2006) rennovated building. The racial mix is good and diverse. The G/T program is excellent.
I'm pretty disapointed in the 1st grade class that my son attended. The teacher wasn't able to control the class and that effected the level of learning. We ended up going to outside tutors in order to bring my son to where we thought he should be. The different 1st grade classes had different amounts and difficulty level of homework, and my son was in a class that didn't get much homework, until we complained and things improved a little. The teacher was new to teaching, so hopefully next year will be better for the 1st grade kids.
