My daughter was in the 1st class attending 6-8th grades at the new, Matoaca MS Center-based gifted program at the East Campus. Because of overcrowding, they opened this site as a 2nd CBG site which is housed in the old Matoaca HS. The program is wonderful! My daughter loved middle school and remains friends with many of the kids even though they all dispersed to different high school programs in and around the county. The teachers know all the kids and really care about both the kids and the parents. They did some really fun and different things that don't happen at other middle schools like the CBG eighth graders putting on a Shakespeare play, writing their autobiographies and the kids can elect to participate in Future Problem Solvers - an international program that my older son loved!
