Academic focus and philosophy

Educational philosophy and approach to learning The Montessori Method is at the heart of MSM. We believe that if children love coming to school, then the possibilities are endless! Montessori's unique style of education is more than just that - it is a way of life! Children are given the space they need to develop at their own pace, able to move ahead or review as necessary. Classes are multi-aged, so that children can learn in a variety of ways. Younger children look up to the older children, and are motivated by what they are doing.

Approach to addressing and preventing bullying Objectives at all levels are to: nurture self-confidence, independence, concentration, coordination, a sense of order, and an awareness of self, community and the world; encourage and direct the natural desire to learn, choose and solve; cultivate an enduring love of learning; provide a carefully prepared environment and personnel to support learning as it moves from the concrete base to greater abstraction; have a positive effect on the world through the education of well-rounded students.
