Atlee High School

I go to Atlee currently. I'm a sophomore there. I'm in IB prep classes, and it's rigorous, but it's prepared me well for all that's coming at me. The teachers really care. If you need help, they're understanding, and they're willing to help you as much as you need. Things are pretty flexible if you're in a rut, and it's great to know that. The food is pretty fantastic, the classes are difficult, but not impossible to succeed in, You're challenged, but not overworked. As far as extracurriculars go, our Arts departments are amazing. Whether you're into band, strings, showchoir, theatre, or physically making artwork, we're well equipped. Theatre is especially awesome at Atlee. I do it all the time, it's a major part of my life. The kids there are like my family, Mr. Wax is an amazing director and mentor, and we're very loving and accepting towards newcomers. Otherwise, our sports teams are pretty great, and there are a lot of opportunities to participate and play. Atlee is just overall awesome. I think we're the best high school in Hanover. We've got a lot of school spirit! Go Raiders!

Atlee is the best! My son struggled in school but they never gave up on him. We had support from the principal and all of his teachers. They went above and beyond to help him and us and now he is doing great! My children went to several schools but Atlee is by far the best all around. They really care about the kids and will do whatever it takes to help them succeed.

I couldn't be happier with Atlee. I have one child who just graduated and is well prepared for college thanks to the excellent teachers, guidance dept., and administration. The entire four years was a wonderful experience. The students, for the most part, take their academics seriously, and it shows with the number of graduates that got into top notch colleges. Also, there are many opportunities to get involved in clubs and to do community service through Atlee. The principal is fantastic and knows ALL of the kids by name and many of the parents. I

This is the best thing that happend to my children. After moving here from out of state we have been amazed by how great Atlee is. The students, parents, and teachers all work together to make the whole school experience both achedemic and extracurricular a rewarding experience. Our children are truly blessed to have such a great school with so much to offer.

Parents and teachers here are more involved than other schools in my experience. Kids are smarter here, more conscientious.

I graduated from Atlee in 2000. I was mentally and academically prepared for college thanks to my wonderful teachers. The teachers at Atlee care so much for their students that many of them offer their personal e-mail addresses to their students for continuing support after the school year is over. I can not count how many times I have contacted my past teachers either for educational advice, or more recently, as I now have children of my own, for life advice. Atlee teachers are a wonderful blessing to their students. I feel both privileged and proud to have had the opportunity to attend one of the best schools possible. Great principals and administration - wonderful school system. Atlee students leave well prepared for college. The teachers have very high expectations, and the school offers many course options such as AP, IB, and technical classes.
