The problem this school and every school in the school district has is with the "management" so to speak. The superintendent, Executive Director of Curriculum and Instruction and the Director of Instructional Technology, Testing and Accountability have all been given a job that has proven to be too much for them to handle. Frivolous unfocused spending and no direct attention to the impact on students has deeply effected the ability for these schools in the district to offer the best education to their students. This can be seen be falling test scores especially in reading content areas. The school board needs to reevaluate and get back to focusing on the needs of the students instead of the wants of their directors.

The school is now at the "old" High School and that has hleped a lot! My daughter is now in 7th grade and we have been very pleased! The teachers are great and really care about the kids. I wish there were better options as far as sports (NO SoCCER!) , and also I wish the Computer classes were more advanced .

The school itself is a protected landmark so, it is not wired for internet usage. This makes it very hard if not sometimes impossible to communicate with teachers. When you do call the school, you may get a return call then again, you may not. If you have a kid with learning issues, I would suggest another school outside New Kent County!
