The staff and other teachers are so supportive and truly LOVE our kids!!!!
The staff at South Morrison work together in many aspects to better the lives of the children.
South Morrison Eagles soar because of the dedicated staff and great students!
We feel so fortunate to have our children attend South Morrison Elementary School. Not only are they receiving a top rate education, they are guided by teachers and staff members that truly love our children and our school. As our children enter the building each day, they are greeted with a smile, a warm hug and a 'Good Morning, how are you today?'. This might not seem like much, but it shows our students that they are respected, they are thought of and it definitely starts their day off on a good note. From here they head to classrooms where the teachers go above and beyond the traditional standards of learning, they make learning fun. Our teachers use their own resources to bring extra materials and learning aids into the classroom; so that those children that might not otherwise have the opportunity to experience the 'extras' in life, do not miss out on what is available to most of us. Our teachers give freely of their time so that the children of our school can take part in Enrichment Clubs, such as Ballroom Dancing, Art Enrichment, Music Enrichment, Orchestra, Computer Club, Speed Stacking and the Jump Rope Team. We also have two after school clubs, The Girls of Excellence and The Men of Distinction. The students in these two civic groups are selected based on their grades and good citizenship. Year after year, our students make AYP and exceed on their SOL testing. We take great pride on our students abilities to strive to be their best ~ to be great learners, to be great thinkers and to become the best people they can possible be.
We are like a big family that works and cares about each other.
South Morrison Elementary is a great school for children. It feels more like a family that works together to take care of all the children that come here. South Morrison's staff care about nurturing the whole child, as well as, providing them with a sound education. We believe that it is extremely important to prepare our students for their future. We would like to do even more this year with technology if the funds were available.
I love South Morrison school because of the relationships we build with children so they are successful.
contirbuting volunteer to the Young Men of Distinction Program. The school is making great strides in reaching students academically, teaching good citizenship, and respect for the community. Great job by principle and staff
As a teacher from another school, I continue to be impressed with the students and staff at South Morrison. Whether it is at a conference or other district wide activities, the leadership glows throughout the staff. The ESD team does an outstanding job and I look forward to other schools working hard to reach the goals South Morrison has set for others to follow.
South Morrison is a wonderful school of learning. The have been accredited and have made AYP for the last 5 years. They have implemented Effective School wide Discipline. There are few referrals to the office and students are on task. The staff believes in a 'nurtured heart approach' to teaching academics and character. I would highly recommend anyone to come and visit the school and see all of the wonderful learning that is taking place!
