there is tons of drama, and bullying. PMS has "Take A Stand Lend A Hand." A anti-bullying program every Wednesday durning 6th period. It doesn't help at all. Bullying happens like crazy.
PMS is a fantastic school. My son's teachers meet daily to discuss any student issues, and are always open to parents. As the only middle school in the district, it fully represents the community it serves.
I feel Poquoson is a segregated school from the past. This school lacks any kind of racial diversity. I was very surprised how racially intolerant the Poquoson school system appears to be.
Bravo PMS! The teachers care about student problems, academic and otherwise. They encourage parents to get involved and be present in your childs academic career. I feel safe leaving my daughter in the capable and caring hands of these fine instructors.
This is a very difficult school to transfer into especially as a boy. SOL's are highly stressed. Once in a certain 'track' of classes in junior high, it's very difficult change- all the way through high school.
