There are significant issues with the administration in this school. The school has had terrible problems with bookkeeping that has been problematic. They do not have a Principal but the former school Secretary is now the overseer of the day to day and the teachers in this school. She is also responsible for the discipline and other educational issues that her lack of an education/degree and experience as a teacher is evident in the manner issues are handled. The school is owned by the Woodlawn Baptist Church. The Pastor and his selects make key decisions based on what the Administrator states. The teachers moral is low and their frustration is taken out on innocent children. There have been incidents reported of teachers yelling and demoralizing children in their frustration. There have also been incidences of double standards in their conduct and ethics policy. The education is not worth the cost.

While the academics of this school are excellent, if you are looking for more then that you will be disappointed. There are no parent teacher conferences, and zero parent teacher contact unless you search out the teacher whether through phone, note, or meeting. I never received a school calendar for upcoming events and days off. I was never informed that the Kindergarten class did not have the same last day of school as the rest of the school which resulted in me taking my kid to school when he was already finished for the year. My bill was messed up two separate times saying i owed hundreds of $ when in fact I had paid everything on time the entire year. They had school remain open on days with dangerous road conditions and weather. There is more but I am out of space. You get the idea!!

My daughter has really bloomed under the umbrella of her third grade teacher. She came into this school slightly behind in her reading level and left slightly ahead.

Woodlawn Christian School also offers Before/After School care through its Shepherd Staff Daycare. It opens at 6:30 AM and closes at 6:00 PM. During the summer, the school offers a Summer Camp. During Summer Camp, the children go swimming, biking, skating, and bowling. They also have other special trips. Throughout school, daycare and summer camp, the children are in a safe, loving, disciplined environment. Although affiliated with Woodlawn Baptist Church in Hopewell, children of all religions are welcome. This school provides a solid foundation for children year round!

The academic programs at Woodlawn are great. Almost all rooms have a teacher and an aid. This really benefits the students. Parents can even allow their children to begin taking band in 2nd grade. This is much earlier than I have seen at most schools. Most parents do not seem to get activitly involved but the ones that are involved are very involved. I cant say enough about the wonderful staff. They discipline with love and always keep me informed about my child.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.

Oops! We currently do not have any student information for this school. We rely on the state Department of Education, the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES), and in some cases school administrators such as registrars and principals for this data.
